Join artist Robyn Malcolm for a Soft Pastel workshop inspired by trees.

After a very successful solo exhibition we are delighted to have Robyn Malcolm as a tutor to share her skill and enthusiasm in a pastel workshop inspired by trees.

Robyn will discuss the Fauve and Blue Rider art movements, chosen in this instance as a way to consider using non local colour. She will also talk about some of her own art works from her recent exhibition, ‘Wildwood’.

The idea is not about trying to make a faithful representation of trees but to imbue the work with feeling through the use of colour. The emphasis is on enjoyment, spontaneity and intuitive colour choices.

Robyn will demonstrate layering, starting with harder pastels moving up to soft pastels.
