Glass Fusing and Slumping: 1 day Workshop

Get ready for a relaxed and hands-on day exploring the art of kiln-formed glass. You’ll create three beautiful projects while learning the key techniques that make this craft so exciting.
Whether you’re completely new or have some experience, you’ll receive friendly, step-by-step guidance throughout the day. Most materials, tools, and plenty of expert tips are provided.
Suitable for both beginners and those who have done it before.
What We’ll Be Making: Throughout this one-day workshop, you will complete three projects: A slumped glass platter, a fused glass platter or tile and pieces of jewellery if you wish. If you’ve attended previous classes, you’re welcome to work on a specific project of your choice.
Your course fee includes the use of all tools (except a glass cutter), the glass needed for the three main projects, and all kiln firings. If you have safety glasses and a glass cutter bring them. There are some in the studio, but having your own will reduce waiting time.
You may also choose to make additional pieces if time allows. Glass for extra projects will incur a fee for materials which can be purchased on the day.
Participants should bring their own lunch.

What to Bring: A glass cutter and any glass-working tools you already own (optional—these can also be purchased or borrowed at the studio)
Enclosed shoes (for safety; no sandals or open-toed footwear).
