Small Ceramic Birds: 1 day Workshop
Thursday 12th November, 9:30am to 3:30pm

Join Ceramicist Eve Howard to build two small birds with Raku clay in this one day workshop.

Eve will guide you to capture the unique forms of native Tasmanian birds – blue wrens, firetails, finches or pardalotes. No experience is necessary. You will make and paint your birds with under glaze on the day and then Eve will fire it in her kiln and it will be ready for pick up within a month. (Time for the piece to dry and then be fired. As with all ceramics, there is always the possibility of breakage in the firing, Eve will discuss ways of avoiding this on the day.)

Participants should bring their own lunch.
Tea and coffee available.

Cost: $250 members and non-members

Materials: All you need to bring is an apron, your lunch and some bird pictures for inspiration, but Eve has some for us to use. Tea and coffee available
If you have a hand tuning wheel and ceramic tools please bring them.
