Tasmanian Author Sue Abdullah will provide a brief overview of Eileen Brooker’s life and teaching legacy, illustrated with slides of her diverse range of artworks, sketches, paintings and ceramic pieces, some of which are not shown in her recent biography People, Pottery & Painting: Life Stories of Eileen Brooker  Sue will cover her favourite themes as outlined and explored in the book.

Come along to discover and celebrate her life’s journey with art.  Now 103 years of age, Eileen influenced many Southern Tasmanian artists who have memories of her generosity and teaching over many years. Society members tell your friends who may not be members and remind them of the date and time for this rare opportunity.

The book of this well-known Tasmanian artist and art educator will be available for purchasing at the gallery on the day.
